Earth Day is a reminder, but at YCCBC, we know the real work happens the other 364 days.
This week, Youth Climate Corps BC had the opportunity to engage with federal leaders and partners on how we move from climate ambition to implementation.

A big thank you to MP Shannon Miedema and Will Greaves for making this event possible, and to our Québec delegation-Marie Maltais, Katia Forgues, Flora Finch, and Maddie Turenne (YCC alumni), for being part of the conversation.

We had the chance to connect with leaders including Catherine McKenna, Eric St-Pierre, and partners from across the climate and workforce ecosystem. One thing is clear: across the country, there is growing alignment around the need to invest in youth as part of Canada’s climate and workforce strategy.

Programs like Youth Climate Corps are not just about participation, they are about building a generation equipped to lead, work, and deliver on climate action in their communities.

The momentum is there. The opportunity now is to scale it, intentionally and collaboratively.
