Kelowna, BC – May 28, 2026 – Youth Climate Corps BC (YCCBC), in partnership with the City of Kelowna, is proud to launch the second season of the Kelowna Youth Climate Corps program as part of its growing province-wide network of youth-led climate action initiatives.

Today marks the start of our 2026 season for several YCC programs, including Kelowna. We'd like to introduce you to our program leads Ria and Augustus.

In 2025, YCCBC’s first Kelowna cohort brought together a team of youth to launch local climate action in partnership with the City of Kelowna.

Youth Climate Corps British Columbia is hiring Co-Leads for Vernon, Squamish, Kelowna, and Courtenay. With gratitude to the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions for funding support, we are seeking a Youth Leadership Development Intern to play a key role in strengthening YCCBC’s approach to youth leadership, governance, and participatory decision-making.

Kelowna's Youth Climate Corps has had a fantastic first season that has absolutely flown by. While the team will be wrapping up operations this month, we are happy to share what they've been up to these past few months through their recent social media takeover.
