YCCBC is proud to begin its first program in Kamloops this upcoming week! With funding support from BC Hydro, the City of Kamloops and Youth Climate Corps BC have partnered to deliver a community outreach program focused on improving energy efficiency, reducing GHG emissions and increasing the climate resiliency of existing homes in Kamloops. For this pilot, a cohort of 5 young people, led by Athena Leblanc-Naziel, YCCBC Program Coordinator, will be based out of Kamloops for approximately five months. The YCCBC team will deliver public education and outreach activities at various community events, including the Bike Valet service at the Kamloops Farmers Market every Saturday starting in May. Meet the new team at the Kamloops Farmers Market, and stay tuned for more YCCBC Kamloops news!
