Natalee Barker

New to the Kelowna area, Natalee brings her professional and educational background in the natural resource sector to her role as Program Lead for YCCBC Kelowna’s programs. Natalee lives and works on the unceded and traditional territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) First Nation, and is committed to using an anti-colonial mindset to drive her climate action work.

Story

Natalee has spent all of her life growing alongside trees, funghi and fields as an outdoor enthusiast, with these interests transforming over time to shape her education and professional career. Natalee has multiple degrees in subjects that display her interest in the intersectionality of issues surrounding climate justice and positive change. Natalee has worked for non-profit environmental organizations, conservation authorities, and provincial parks in her journey to positions that align with her values and goals. In this role, she is excited to share and learn alongside her new community in the Okanagan.
