

Nadine Nakagawa
Nadine Nakagawa is a community organizer, author, and counsellor who served two terms on city council in New Westminster.
Story
As a City Councillor, Nadine focused on affordable housing, community inclusion, the climate crisis, and public engagement. She works as an Equity and Inclusion Strategist, is co-founder of a consulting co-operative called Ablaze Services, and is cofounder of The Feminist Campaign School which supports unrepresented people to run for elected office. Nadine is a queer Hāfu woman who lives on the territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ and Lək̓ʷəŋən speaking peoples. She has a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, and is the author of moss, molt, murmur: Contemplations on Nature.
